We are the Savage family. We consist of four incredible kids, some grown, some getting there, a Mom, and a Dad who has gone on ahead of us to get things ready for when we see him again. We love life, miss Dad, are busy, and love our family and friends, of whom there are many.
Daily, constantly, we choose by our desires, our thoughts, and our actions whether we want to be blessed or cursed, happy or miserable.
- Ezra Taft Benson
Do not pray for easy lives. Pray to be stronger men! Do not pray for tasks equal to your powers. Pray for power equal to your tasks.
-Phillips Brooks
You better not get discouraged!! Someone, somehow we have to keep a strong outlook. Nancy and I were in NY City eating dinner 3 blocks away when they tried to set off the bomb in Times Square on Saturday. They failed and we are still here!! The moral is near misses don't count. Trust that life will prevail. God is looking out for us.

Winners Never Cheat: Everyday Values We Learned as Children (But May Have Forgotten)
Jon Huntsman's book, Winners Never Cheat, is available now. All proceeds from the sale of this book go to the Huntsman Cancer Institute. Our family and countless others have benefitted from this family's generosity, and we know countless more will continue to do so. We urge you to buy this book, as it is timeless in its message, and pure in it's purpose of helping others who struggle with cancer while delivering a very needed message and reminder that honesty is ALWAYS the best policy, especially in the business world.
"The message is sweet, simple and clear: stick to your beliefs staunchly, even if it costs you in the short term, because character, integrity and long-term results are what really count." (review)
The Andersons are in Salt Lake visiting family, and invited Alexis to climb Mount Olympus with them. The photos were uploaded, but are showing last to first. Click on any photo to see large. Here goes!
What beautiful pictures. But, TEN hours??? And they have a little kid with them?! I'm huffing and puffing here in my recliner, just looking at the pictures! Wow. I'd better get back to the gym. :-(
Yeah, I know it's crazy. The hike was only 3.5 miles, but it was over 4,000 feet in elevation. Some of that was rock climbing, almost to the point where they needed ropes.
Now...That's a workout! I bet it was a great experience and adventure in the beautiful mountains of Utah. Blaine, once made a statement about the tiny mountains in NH/VT...by the looks, he was right!
