Wifey's Turn

Hello all. Blaine has asked me to make the next post, so here I go.

1st, he is doing great right now. He has had two chemo infusions, and is on daily oral chemo drugs as well. All together, there are three chemo drugs and numerous others. He literally has a bag of perscriptions worth about $5000.00. Don't lose that one!

2nd, his outlook is amazing. Incredible. He is definately not a whiner. I don't think I've heard a complaint out of him. His positive attitude will get him far in terms of his recovery, and all of the faith and prayers in his behalf are sending him soaring along so much the faster.

3rd, I don't think that a day goes by that Blaine and I are not touched deeply by something that someone or ones says or does in our behalf. We have had so many people give us a small gift, or a large one, express thier love, tell us that they and their famillies are praying for us, put a hand on a shoulder, give us a hug, take a moment out of thier day, or go way out of thier way to show us their love and kindness with servicce and means, reach out to our children (so very appreciated) call, email, etc. You are making this so much easier to do. We love you so very much, and are grateful in so many ways.

I think we may look back on this as a growing time, and in many ways, a time when we realized how very much the Lord loves us, and how much we are loved by others. What a tremendous, priceless gift. We are ok, thanks to God, to all of you, and to a tremendous willpower and positive attitude. Way to go, Blaine! What a hero, at least to me.

  1. Dear Blaine and Marleigh,
Thank you for sharing your uplifting progress!! More importantly, the strong, couragous, and virtuous example of Faith that you are sharing with the rest of us!

We were in Church in Mesa, AZ but our hearts and prayers were with you and Bill Murdoch, along with others from our ward family who are in serious trials presently.

Carl does remember his Bishop in all his prayers. You are a great Bishop, brother and friend to all.... but your dedication to Carl's spiritual growth will remain with Carl and our entire family for as long as we all share be granted life!!

May peace and comfort continue to be your blessing.

    With Love,
    The Franzens

  2. It was reassuring and inspiring to see you yesterday, fulfilling your role as Bishop of the Ascutney Ward; reminding us of the basics that keep the spirit in our lives. May you and your family continue to be blessed with hope and daily progress and faith that the Lord will provide for all your needs.

  4. Sorry I missed you all yesterday - but, still battling with being sick and didn't want to share.

Glad to hear that the chemo has been going well - and that you are doing okay.

Love the photo - it just shows how great your attitude is...

Think of you and pray for you and the family daily...and I am glad you've chosen to do a blog so we can keep you closer to our thoughts.
